Description
Chinese, Ming dynasty, finely carved of a Bodhisattva holding a peach on her left hand, seated on a horseshoe-back chair with a base, the head gently bowed with a pensive expression, inthe long robes painted with delicate floral designs in gilt. Having four-characters Xuande mark to the reverse lower section of the chair. The bottom panel appears to be a later piece.

Provenance: From a Hong Kong family's private collection, immigrated to Canada in the 20th century.
