Condition
Condition:

THE FIRST
The overall condition of the cape is good with no condition issues outside of being wrinkled. The overall condition of the skirt is fair with some wear/marks on the waistline from hanger marks. The glue holding the hem of the skirt has failed. The skirt is also very wrinkled. The condition of the copy of the sketc, photograph, and pattern are good.

THE SECOND
The overall condition of the coat is poor and is presented as an archive only. There are multiple issues, including overall fading, splits in the leather on both the left and right shoulder, small brown/black marks all over. The pattern and the copy of the sketch are in good condition.

THE THIRD
The overall structure of the dress is good with no holes in the knit, but there are several popped stitches around the leather edging where it is attached to the jersey.

Everything is sold 'As Is’. The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use. The absence of any reference to the condition of a lot does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging. All other condition issues are stated above. To request additional working condition photos, please email couturecr@hindmanauctions.com with the lot number. Condition is a matter of opinion of the evaluator and should not be treated as a statement of fact. Clients must review and agree to the Conditions of Sale before participating in an auction.
