Description
Western Europe, Medieval period, ca. 8th to 12th century CE. An iron arrow tip with a broad blade and a thin tang. The blade presents with a rhomboid shape and a pointed tip with flat faces. The surface has developed a rich patina, and the overall form is well preserved. An arrow tip like this may have been mounted to a shaft using sinew, cord, or even hide glue. Size: 3.75" L x 1.125" W (9.5 cm x 2.9 cm)
