Description
Rare Chinese embroidered silk robe end depicting curved stripes ending in rolling waves, ca. 1830. Possibly Jiaqing due to the color variations and intricacy. The use of imperial yellow throughout the work indicates a high rank for the individual to whom this robe belonged.

There are a few other creases from being stored throughout the piece, visible in the lot listing. There are loose threads throughout all the edges, possibly from when the fragment was removed from the robe it was attached to.
