Highly unethical seller, potentially fraud
I purchased an item from this seller and was given 2 options for shipping: 1 is UPS which quoted us an exorbitant amount of over $200 for an item that is 12 "x12" x8 "weighing less than 5 lbs. We think there might be some fraud or collusion going on with that specific UPS store to funnel business back to themselves. The other option was just some person listed under a company called USsafetyship, which you can't even find on Google. When communicating with this 2nd shipper (who quoted us $165), they have no signature or anything signifying they are from the company they claim they are (the email is what seems like a personal email account). They said our payment would be made directly to the auction house, which makes no sense if you are an independent company working in collaboration with an auction house. We highly suspect that this" company "is just the auction house itself funneling more business to itself, and charging an unreasonable amount for shipping costs. For context, the shipping label shows that the postage cost $20.50, and they claim they charged us $140 for a plain cardboard box with the most basic packing. I am highly suspicious there is some degree of fraud going on and have contacted liveauctioneers to open an investigation on this seller.
