A Century of Experience Lile Family Auctioneers Commercial Liquidation History Following is an account of our "to the walls liquidation experience". Beginning in the 1940's, Frank V. Lile was one of the most prominent auctioneers of cattle in the United States. He sold cattle in every state in the U. S., including: *3 Auctions for Fowler McCormick, President of International Harvester in the early 1960's. *In 1964, Frank conducted a 3 day auction for Charlie Wilson, former President of General Motors and Secretary of Defense under Dwight Eisenhower, selling his Southern Plantation in Louisiana. *Frank had 2 sons, Jim and Joe who became auctioneers and continued the tradition of selling cattle throughout the United States. *Jim has 2 sons, Mick and Tim who operate Logan Auction in Bellefontaine, Ohio and Innovative Auctions, Inc. out of Centerville, Ohio respectively. *In the 1970's Logan Auction liquidated the historic Beatley's Hotel and Indian Lake amusement park in Russel's Point, Ohio. *Throughout the 1980's, Logan Auction liquidated more than 20 G.C. Murphy stores and restaurants in Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Michigan. *Also during the 1980's, Mick Lile was associated with Myron Bowling out of Cincinnati, working on dozens of industrial liquidations. *In the early 1990's, Tim Lile was associated with Guernsey's Auction House in New York City conducting Vintage Auto and Novelty auctions. *In the mid 90's, Tim returned to Ohio and Logan Auction where he and Mick together were contracted to liquidate the contents of 5 school buildings of the Benjamin Logan school district after their new facility was completed. *In 1996, Tim relocated to the Dayton area in an effort to expand the market available to the Lile family auctioneers. *1997 marked the birth of Innovative Auctions, Incorporated. The first contract for the new entity was the total liquidation of the registered Ohio Historical, 225 acre farm, Plum Acres owned by the Van Gorder Farms partnership in Lewistown, Ohio. *Also in 1997, Logan Auction liquidated the school building in Lewistown, for the Indian Lake School District. *Also in 1997, Innovative Auctions, Inc., liquidated the Tradewinds restaurant in West Mansfield, Ohio. *In 1998 Innovative Auctions, Inc. was contracted as the sole liquidator of surplus electronic equipment and office furnishings for the Lexis-Nexis Corporation, a member of the Reed Elsevier plc Group, and continues to maintain this contract. Note: This list of experience includes only our commercial liquidation experience. Hundreds of personal, estate and consignment auctions are not included.
